Training For Outside Bodies

Eden Welfare is for creating spaces, in and outside of club/community spaces, that are able to respond correctly and safely towards the issues that we are facing. Within the UK we have created system to protect those who are within the fire of harm, whether that harm is induced by illnesses, others, or unstable settings. These are vital for us to rely upon, and at the same time, must recognise the difficulty that comes with accessing such services. The chronic under funding of Community/Governmental Care  paired with the stigma related to Q/Kink within our culture is creating environments in which the vulnerable are hesitant to engage. As we move further towards a political system that disallows for the education of vulnerable individuals, the celibacy push of substance use and the chronic misinformation regarding ethical kink and Queer relationships, Eden Welfare wants to meet Organisations where they are.

Eden Welfare is an educated, trauma informed and knowledgeable organization that is available for bookings for Accident & Emergency Departments, Social Care Workers, Crisis Hubs, Sexual Health Agencies, Therapy Services, University Safeguarding Teams, etc.

Polyamory

Polyamory, Swinging and Ethical Non-Monogamy are all separate relationship styles and still do not cover the flexibility that is the norm within Kink/Queer. Guiding staff through terminology, normalised dynamics and how to notice/pin point abuse within relationships that differ largely in their presentation.

Common Risk

How do we define 'acceptable' injury and 'nonacceptable' injury? When an individual presents into a social care setting with an injury, it is extremely unlikely that this is the first injury that they have gathered from being within these spaces, and if it is, it is likely that there are massive other stressors that make the individual more likely to be at risk.

Kink Terminology

The language use within Queer, Poly and Kink Spaces are important in order to manage and understand the services that individuals presenting are at need of.

Substance Use

Substances in Queer and Kink Spaces are used in differing ways to typical club culture, and as such hold their own risks. The risk profile for those using substances and engaging within Sex Spaces is higher, although the discussion and knowledge of the substances used is non-published.
